Your body is my canvas – Alexa Meade

Is that a painting — or a person?

Unconventional artist Alexa Meade slathers her subjects with paint, and even dunks them in a bathtub of milk, in pursuit of the perfect portrait. The results will make you question where reality begins and ends, and what it means to create art.

Alexa Meade selects a topic and then paints it–literally. She covers everything in a scene–people, chairs, food, you name it–in a mask of paint that mimics what’s below it. In this eye-opening talk Meade shows off photographs of some of the more outlandish results, and shares a new project involving people, paint and milk.

Photographer Puts Two Strangers Together For Intimate Photographs

“Photographer Richard Renaldi takes random people he meets on the street of New York City and asks them to pose in pictures together as if they were family members, friends or lovers.

The subjects are only asked to look like they are showing a brief amount of affection, but the facial expressions and body language within the photos make it seem like these strangers not only know each other, but also share some sort of genuine bond.”

Sarah Lee Bio (Underwater Photographer)

From Kona on the Big Island of Hawai’i, Sarah Lee is incessantly glued to camera viewfinders, DaFiNs, and the sea.

Her passion for photography, particularly underwater and surf photography was shaped by a childhood where she was constantly playing in and around the ocean.

As a long-distance swimmer and surfer, her strength as an athlete in the ocean and tide allows her to capture swimmers and surfers in the special way she does beneath the sea.

“My aim in making photos is to capture and accentuate the beauty in what surrounds me.

Photography to me is a mode of visual problem solving and a way to perpetuate the stoke, whether it be above the surface or below.”

Lately, Sarah has been involved in shooting photo and video content for Alison’s Adventures.

Go check it all out on www.alisonsadventures.com.
